From standard routine service, to needing a radiator replacement, and most recently glow plugs and a DEF sensor(2020 GMC Sierra AT4) the service department has been upstanding with their professionalism, and communication. I have been to other dealerships for service in past with my truck and Freehold has proven to set the standard in my opinion for how things should be managed and addressed. Never fun to bring my truck in but at least I have peace of mind, as well as trust and confidence with the staff and techs in service at the Freehold GMC dealership. Thank you!

The Service Group at Freehold Buick-GMC are extremely difficult to work with. I specifically asked them multiple times during multiple calls my TOTAL COST for 4 new tires, Alignment and Balancing on my 2021 GMC Terraine. I was provided an amount of $1204. When I got my bill it was the $1204 plus Tax Plus and a cost for the Disposal of old Tires, leading to an increase to the TOTAL COST of $94.00. When I addressed this with the Service Advisor and Service Manager, they indicated they told me a price of $1204 plus tax. I took that to mean it included the tax as I had asked for my Total Cost. Even when I added the tax to the $1204 amount, I found I was charged an additional fee of $20. I then was told I was charged for the disposal of the old tires. Again, I will say, when I asked for a Total Cost, they neglected to include the disposal cost and tax. While questioning the tax being added, the Service Manager said he went back and listened to the call and said it was told to me. I questioned this and said I wanted to hear the call. He first said he could not provide it to me, but then sent it to me later in an email. I asked him for copies of all three calls I had made prior to the servicing, but he would not provide all three calls. I am pretty sure he would not provide because one of the calls did not tell me $1204 plus tax. But he did ask me what I wanted and I told him the money back for the difference in the final cost and what I had been quoted as $1204. He said he could not do that, but I could get $20 back for the disposal of the tires if I wanted to come back to the dealership and pick the old tires back up and dispose of them myself. WHAT SERVICE! I will never again purchase or Service my vehicle with Freehold Buick-GMC

I took my truck to have a 4 wheel drive service completed, I was quoted a price of $550.00 by Frank, I also asked to have my tires rotated, so I figured another 50 bucks or so, getting me out the door for about 600 bucks and some change. Well they hit me for $705.00. I will never take my truck back to the Freehold GMC. I get it, this is how dealerships make their money, tell you one thing and then charge you another. I will not be returning.

Bang up job was done by the whole service team. A further analysis of air conditioning system after running it for a extended period is needed to determine if there are any leaks of the gas. Currently the pickup is running well. Let's see what is up with the air conditioner in a month or so. On the 2 times that I have taken my 2024 Buick Encore GX to Freehold Buick for routine Maint. I explained to the servise dept. that my Buick has an issue with the infotainment screen turning off while driving which is a serious safety issue. I have been told that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, even after showing evidence that it is happening. God forbid someone in my family gets injured or KILLED. I will take this to what ever authority I need to to get my vehicle repaired. Stop insulting me. I have leased 3 vehicles and purchased 2 vehicles from GM and for sure this will be the last if this is not rectified.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to share my experience with the service department regarding my 2018 GMC Acadia Denali. While I have brought my vehicle exclusively to this dealership for all recommended service since purchasing it in June 2018, my recent experiences have led to immense frustration, disappointment, and a total loss of confidence in your service operations. Despite the consistently high labor costs, I remained loyal to your dealership for maintenance, only once opting to replace my tires elsewhere due to cost. In December 2024, I brought the car in for an oil change and noted a recurring check engine light along with a steering system warning. I was told the code retrieved was a “history” code related to the cooling fan, and the issue was deemed inactive. I reluctantly agreed to an additional transmission fluid flush based on age/mileage, resulting in a $375.10 bill. The check engine light, however, persisted. Fast forward to June 23, 2025. I brought the car in again (with just 43,730 miles) for an oil change and again flagged the check engine light issue. My Service Advisor, Anthony, provided a long list of codes (P0691, P0692, P0480, P0128, among others). I was informed I needed a thermostat replacement and coolant flush. I waited over five hours for the car and paid $1,772.54 (of which $1,398.55 was labor attributed to mechanic “CP”). Immediately after, the vehicle failed state inspection due to the same check engine light reappearing, specifically code P0691, which had supposedly been addressed. I returned to the dealership that same day. The car was held for nearly 48 hours with zero communication from your team until June 25th. This lack of basic customer service, no update calls, no courtesy vehicle, was completely unacceptable. Eventually, Anthony informed me the issue now required a full cooling fan assembly replacement at a cost of $1,700. After voicing my frustration, a 50/50 cost split was negotiated with GMC, and I opened a GM Rewards Card to apply a $200 statement credit, just to afford yet another repair. I retrieved the vehicle on June 27th. Shockingly, the check engine light returned AGAIN on June 30th. I took a sick day from work to bring the car in on July 1st, where I was told the PCM was now failing and would be replaced under warranty. The car was returned on July 2nd. By July 6th, the check engine light was on again, now code P0480, also part of the original list from June 23rd. In less than three weeks, I have made four separate visits for unresolved engine codes, none of which have been permanently addressed. I’ve spent nearly $2,500, missed work, failed inspection, and sacrificed time and patience only to receive piecemeal repairs and shifting diagnoses from a service team that seems to replace parts without solving the underlying issue. Moreover, I have loaded my three children into the car each morning to drive my car into the Service Department and borrowed my in-law’s vehicles for several days so that I do not miss additional days of work. Let me be clear: I was once interested in purchasing a Yukon from your dealership. Now, I’m exploring selling my Acadia and severing ties altogether. While I commend Christopher (December 2024) and Anthony for their professionalism and patience, the overall service department experience has been disorganized, opaque, and ineffective. I understand vehicles can be complex. What I cannot accept is the apparent lack of coordination, problem-solving, and customer care I’ve been shown. I would like my concerns escalated to both dealership management and GMC corporate. This matter requires real accountability, an accurate diagnosis, and, at minimum, a discussion of reimbursement for failed repair work. Sincerely, Mr. Richard M. Chris was great at letting me know the status of my vehicle. Even more so, he had me come back to the shop to inspect my vehicle to discuss potential reasons for my noise, and with the help of one of his mechanics, together we isolated the issue and were able to determine the replacement parts. Getting the customer personally involved is a great idea and helps the customer better understand their vehicle and perhaps learn a few things along the way. Making amicable decisions and not surprising the customer is great customer service. Made my appointment at least 1.5 weeks earlier to get my tires replaced for the Oct. 1st special. After sitting there for an hour, Carmen came out and apologized, they could not find my tires anywhere, but they would give me a loaner and I would have to come back the next day. I then asked to switch to my regular rep, Chris who asked me if Carmen had apologized. I told him what Carmen had said and he said no, Carmen never ordered the tires. By the time I received the loaner car I had wasted 1.5 hours at the dealership. And I then had to disrupt the next day to go back and get my car. My husband keeps trying to get my to buy a BMW or Mercedes. This might be my last Buick. Then when I went to pay my bill, I noticed a $40 misc. charge on my bill. They could not explain it to me. Check your bills people, as this is just a way for them to add fees unnecessarily. Will no longer pay this fee going forward.

Feel like I got robbed, pressured into getting new front and rear brakes- message on dash read service rear brake monitor. Front brakes had 66% of life remaining yet I was told I needed new brakes. I realize I should have gotten a second opinion but tried to correct the problem on my day off of work. I have a photo of front brakes saying 66% life remaining if anyone actually cares and reads this. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer yet I walked out of there feeling terrible. Last dollar I will ever worn there.

This was my first time buying a new car. I test drove a used Buick Envision, loved it, and decided that I wanted a new one. Unfortunately the nearest Buick dealer is more than an hour away. And a Buick dealer with the Envision with the specs that I wanted that I wanted was even further away. So I chose the Freehold NJ location because my brother had a good experience there. I drove nearly 4 hours to get there and was met with kindness and exceptional service and professionalism. I had spoken with Gary (the salesman) by phone prior to my visit and he had all the paperwork waiting for me. Christian (the manager) was also ready to complete the sale without difficulty. This sale was a legacy employee sale - my father worked for 40 years as an assembler at the Linden NJ plant. Although he’s not around to see my beautiful red Buick, my new Envision is a tribute to him. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and will definitely drive the 400 mile round trip for my next car! I also LOVE my new Buick.

Service took over 2 hours, way too long to be waiting for an oil change and tire rotation. Also, the cost for this service has doubled from 2020. I paid $58.59 in December 2020 and now it cost me $121. Time for me to consider bringing my vehicle to a neighborhood mechanic or local Pep Boys.

I brought my car in for a known issue with this car and was told it was only my battery. Battery was changed without my consent and I was charged over $450. When I approached the service technician his response was he could take out the battery. I've dealt with this service department for many years and was very disappointed in the way this was handled. Given the choice I would not have opted to purchase a new battery as I would have gotten it myself and changed it. Very disappointed and will not return for service.
